Bob began his career as a full-time photographer in 1978 and for the last thirty years has managed to balance major photographic advertising and editorial assignments in America and Europe with his own personal photographic projects.
During his career Bob has been the recipient of numerous photographic awards including: two golds, one silver and seventeen merits in the Association of Photographers Awards; two silvers for the best black & white campaign two years running in the Campaign Press Awards; three Communications Arts Magazine awards in the USA; a gold award for Audi in the French Design and Art Direction book; and a silver D&AD Award for his photography for Royal Mail Stamps.
Bob is familiar with several old black and white printing techniques and spends many hours in his own darkroom. Over the last couple of years he has embraced digital imagery, using Photoshop to produce exceptional digital prints. Bob’s personal work has been exhibited regularly at a number of photographic galleries in America and Europe.
Bob was the founder of Lensmodern.com and in the past served on the AOP Council and the Association of Photographers' Awards Committee for two years each.
